==================================
Dear Elks Members,
We need your help! The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has had an enormous impact on many businesses including our beloved San Mateo Elks Lodge. The financial impact on the lodge has been extremely difficult. We have over 250 members that have not paid their dues, and we have lost revenue from many of our usual sources including Shipman’s Swim School, Serra High School parking, rent from California Catering for events and parties, bar sales, etc. We have made every effort to still provide our members with many of the things they enjoy at the lodge but that means we still incur many bills and expenses and our financial position has dropped significantly.
In order to keep the lodge open and fortify our reserves, we have set up a Go Fund Me page to allow our members and friends to donate money. Any donation is welcome and appreciated and can help us get through these tough times.
We hope you are safe and well.
Stuart Yoxsimer and the Officers of
San Mateo Elks Lodge #1112
Members who have not paid their dues are blocked. From website, and soon, from lodge.
A couple of important issues you should be aware of…
First, the House Committee and Officers of the lodge may be asking you to show your membership card when you visit the lodge. Unfortunately some members who have not paid their dues have continued to come to the lodge. Please be prepared to show your membership card (not your electronic key card) when asked. I apologize for any potential inconvenience, but it’s important that we collect dues as appropriate. Also, key card access to the lodge will be shut off for members not in good standing. As always, if you are experiencing a true hardship and are unable to pay your dues then please contact myself or the front office and we can take your case to the Standing Relief Committee.
Message from our Chaplain:
During this unprecedented time, we appreciate all the work of our Exalted Ruler, Stuart Yoxsimer, and the rest of the Elks Leadership in creating safe ways for us to gather and enjoy the freedoms afforded by the ever changing County and State regulations. Thank you also to all members who are using the online reservation system, socially distancing, and wearing masks. Each of us must do our part to keep this virus out of our Elks community. May God keep us healthy and safe.
Please remember the Officers and Committee chairs are part-time volunteers and doing their best. In the meantime , please join us when you can.
RSVP to the Lodge Meetings on the events page, let your voice be heard. Meetings held via ZOOM.
